Background

Many times, there’s a disconnect between school and home life. As a teacher, I wanted to make information about school and what the students were learning (at least in English class) available for all of my students’ caregivers.

Objective

The goal was for all of my students’ caregivers to know what their kiddos were learning and to be able to make connections to the concepts at home with their students.

Approach

I used an educational and inspirational tone in the form of a weekly email newsletter to give caregivers information about what the students were learning in my class and to inspire them to create connections to the concepts at home.
